Hello There All My Wonderful TOPS FRIENDS!! I hope you are having a most wonderful day and a "Lighter" week
is in store for you!! I have been keeping busy visiting other chapters and I am enjoying EVERY minute of it! I love meeting
the members and making new friends! You can NEVER have enough of those!! I have seen some great ideas and motivations that
other chapters use. So be sure to check out the Other Chapters page to see the members.
First of all I would like to tell you about a Fellow Tops Member & Area Captain here in Florida by the
name of Norris Minton. For those of you who know Norris and even those of you who do not, he was involved in a serious car
accident last week and broke his leg. Along with the surgeries he had on his knees previously, he will be on a long road to
recovery. I am sure any notes and cards of encouragement and support would be greatly appreciated by Norris, himself, but
also his wife Donna. Please send cards & notes to:
Norris Minton
27015 Roper Road
Brooksville, Florida 34602
Thanks so much!!
Since I was visiting another chapter last Thursday, our trusty co-leader, Josie, took over and as always
did a wonderful job!! Thanks so much!
For a little motivation this morning, Joe Consentino read a story/poem called The Bright Side.
We had 17 members weigh in with a 25.75 pound loss and an 8.50 pound gain. GREAT JOB, although the pounds
gained is still a little high!
You MUST check out our Loser Of The Week, so be sure to go to that page!
Congratulations to Janina Bumgardner who won our Heart contest! She received a Bear, a candle and a little
box of hearts.
Our forbidden food last week was chips. We only had 2 members pay the forbidden food fine. This week our
forbidden food is pasta. Since I am just now reading what the forbidden food is, looks like me and SuZee will be doing some
paying this week!
Congratulations to LaVerne Ray who won the fruit and veggie basket and the 50/50 was a roll over.
We didn't have any minutes cause the secretary lost the book, haha! We will have some minutes this week
unless of course she lost the paper! We still love our secretary and she does a fantastic job and we appreciate it VERY MUCH!
We are going to start having the Chinese Auction. Be sure to bring in a gift/item unwrapped on the 24th
of February. LaVerne Ray and Betty Roberts will be in charge of the auction.
LaVerne Ray, along with Suzanne Black did a skit called the Helping Hand. (pictures below). I heard they
did a great job. Wish I could have seen it!
I would also like to invite you all to visit TOPS member, Shirley Javoroski's, website. She is from TOPS#FL74,
Ft Walton Beach. She has done a great job on her chapter website and has a great success story under the "ABOUT ME" page.
Be sure to sign her guest book while you are there.
